Brinkburn Northumberland is a stunning historic wedding venue that combines traditional 12th century architecture with a luxury, contemporary accommodation. The venue is set amidst ancient woodland and nestled on the banks of the breathtaking river Coquet.

Located approximately 22 miles further north of Newcastle upon Tyne, this beautiful Northumberland wedding venue can be hired exclusively over several days and has all the outdoor space you might need to spread out and celebrate in style. This sublime and secluded country estate provides a majestic setting for all kinds of wedding; from small intimate affairs to lavish weekend long celebrations.

Small & Intimate Winter Weddings in Northumberland

Exclusive use of Brinkburn Northumberland grounds and gardens for your 2-day midweek wedding or 3-day weekend wedding, for up to a maximum of 50 guests, available between November-February from £5245*.

3 Day Weekend Weddings in Northumberland

Exclusive use of Brinkburn Northumberland for your long weekend wedding. For guest numbers of 60-120, available from March – December from £7250*. Accommodation on site for up to 28 guests.

2 Day Midweek Weddings in Northumberland

Exclusive use of Brinkburn Northumberland for your 2-day wedding escape. For guest numbers of 60-120, available from March – December from £5245*. Accommodation on site for up to 28 guests.

Brinkburn Priory was built in 1135 by monks, who found unrivalled solitude in the peaceful setting by the meandering River Coquet, which gently loops around the ravine. For a religious church service, the Priory can accommodate up to 120+ people for a wedding or blessing.

The White Room provides space for up to 80 people for a civil wedding ceremony, it is also possible to hold this outside on the terrace. Receptions then take place in the tipis for up to 120 seated folk. For small intimate weddings the White Room holds up to 50 people to dine negating the need for a tent.

Our magical immaculate tipis dine up to 120 seated guests, in the evening revellers dance in the white room and outside on the terraces whilst the bar in the tipi comes alive.

We have hosted fabulous gatherings in our historic un-restored manor house.

During the tipi wedding breakfast your evening band or DJ discreetly set up alongside the Brinkburn team who transform the White Room into a glamorous space complete with spotlights and disco balls.

Once you are ready to get the party started, guests flow into the White Room and enjoy drinks on the terrace around the fire pit. Music played in the White Room is piped through into the tipi bar so that guests can enjoy a seamless evening of music, dancing and chilling.

How lucky were we when we happened upon Brinkburn Priory, Northumberland, during our search for the perfect wedding venue? Everything from start to finish was faultless in every way. The staff are so amazing particular thanks to Leanne and Emma for being on hand the whole weekend, you are stars. Brinkburn Priory is tucked away in a beautiful tranquil spot of Northumberland, Longframlington. The wedding venue is sympathetic to the natural beauty of Brinkburn. To spend a wonderful weekend here, celebrating our daughters marriage Stephanie to Hamish, will live in our memories forever. Just look at how happy the beautiful bride and groom are, thank you. After searching Northumberland for our wedding venue and finding nothing that ticked all the boxes we arrived at brinkburn and immediately fell in love with it, from the charming stables and tipi, the magnificent priory and Manor House surrounded by peaceful gardens, woodland and having such a relaxing feel about the place we knew it was for us! From start to finish everyone worked exceptionally hard to make our day as perfect as possible and there really wasn’t anything we would have had different, our day was absolutely perfect and we couldn’t have wished for anything more from the whole team, thank you so much to Leah for coordinating everything (which wasn’t the easiest of tasks as were certainly not the most organised people ourselves!) you did a cracking job and we appreciated everything you did to make our day exactly as we wanted it! Our guests kept asking where we managed to find such a beautiful place and they couldn’t believe how incredible it was! We will definitely be coming back here to visit as it was just a magical weekend! Thank you all so much!

I just want to say THANK YOU so much for our beautiful wedding. There’s not a thing I would’ve changed! Everyone still talks about it! Food was amazing, staff were faultless! They ever arranged the weather! I was in the early stages of pregnancy at the time and staff made sure I always had a non alcoholic drink so no one knew! We visited on our anniversary, this time with our son and got him christened by James, who married us! 💕
