Andrea Hawkes: Try On Your Wedding Dress At Home

2020 has turned out to be the year no one ever thought it would be. The world is changing around us all of the time in response to the global pandemic.

Things we always took for granted and the ‘only way of doing things’ are being tipped on their heads as we find new solutions to the problems we now face. We’re doing all we can to support our amazing community of talented designers and wedding suppliers in finding their own new solutions for running their businesses and supporting their bridal clients.

I’m keen to share a new service by one such smart thinking client today, the wonderful London based ethical wedding dress and sustainable bridal fashion designer, Andrea Hawkes.

Andrea has now launched a service whereby you don’t have to attend her flagship London store, or any of her UK based stockists in order to try on one of her bridal gowns. You can, instead, try on a gown from the comfort of your own home, with close supervision, support, encouragement and guidance from one of Andrea Hawkes’ talented stylists.

“Our aim is to ensure our brides receive the full Andrea Hawkes experience and personality. Our experienced and dedicated team are here to fully support them through discussing ideas and plans, discovering our gowns, trying them on from home, selecting fabrics and having your silk wedding dress made by our team. We are here to support them fully when purchasing their wedding gown online.”

HOW IT WORKS

1. VIDEO CONSULTATION

You will have an initial 30 minute video call consultation with one of the trained and highly experienced (and very kind and lovely) Andrea Hawkes stylists. During this session, you will dDiscuss your wedding dress, learn more about Andrea Hawkes collections and our wedding dress designs. A member of the team will support you to truly discover which Andrea Hawkes dress designs fit your ideas and visions.

2. DRESSES ARRIVE AT YOUR DOOR

Following your consultation, the Andrea Hawkes team will send you up to 3 dresses that you feel fit your vision and that you would like to try on at home. The dresses will arrive with a ‘home kit’ for trying on and guiding as you do, and returns information for arranging collection from your home once you have finished trying the samples on.

3. A REVIEW CONSULTATION

A second 30 minute video call consultation will now happen, during which, you will be able to discuss the dresses you have tried on and answer any questions you may have. We will talk you through fabric options and all the finer details that make the dress element of your wedding planning experience so exciting.

4. FITTINGS & ALTERATIONS

Your dress will be made to absolute perfect by the experienced Andrea Hawkes team in London, from natural, ethical, sustainable and chemical free silks and French Lace. Your dress will be delivered to your home, so that you can make arrangements for any alterations independently/locally – or the Andrea Hawkes team will be able to store your dress safely until you are able to visit the store to discuss your alterations and fittings in person.

5. THE COST OF AN ‘ANDREA HAWKES AT HOME’ EXPERIENCE

The cost for this wonderfully convenient service is just £65 for all those UK & Europe based. This includes delivery and return of samples, and time with the Andrea Hawkes team. International fees are £145. This is exceptional value and offers a wonderful, creative, fun solution to the problem of travel and visiting bridal boutiques during the Coronavirus pandemic and associated Tier restrictions.
