Christine and Tyler’s romantic summer wedding at Kin House in Wiltshire was a celebration of timeless elegance with a modern twist.
Nestled in the heart of the countryside, this beautiful manor house, popular with American couples looking for luxurious experiences in the idyllic English countryside, provided the perfect backdrop for their weekend-long festivities, blending traditional English charm with contemporary style.
Captured beautifully by Love My Dress favourite, Maja Tsolo Photography, and planned to absolute perfection by Mel from Your Story Events – every moment of this beautiful summer day felt candid and heartfelt, from the intimate first look to the vibrant evening celebrations. The couple’s vision came to life with the help of the incredibly talented India of Vervain Flowers, whose loose, organic arrangements in soft pastel hues added an ethereal touch to the day.
Enjoy darlings!

Kin House, Wiltshire
When we decided to get married in England, we knew we wanted a manor house style venue. We also wanted to have a place where our wedding party and families could hang out for the entire weekend! Kin House not only checked off all of those boxes, but it was such a vibe.
We loved the unique decor of the space and wanted our whole wedding to have that same fun mix of traditional and modern.
We absolutely loved the venue. From the rehearsal dinner space, to the bedrooms, and the fun getting ready rooms – there wasn’t a single space in that house that wasn’t a dream.

Jewellery, Scent & Accessories
All of the jewellery I wore on my wedding day (besides my wedding bands) were given to me by my parents. My mom had old jewelry she no longer wore so we got it remade into a necklace and earrings to wear on the day. They were so special to me and something I now wear often that reminds me of our wedding day and my parents.
My engagement ring is a 1 carrot emerald cut diamond on a gold band.My mom has always had the same shape and I really wanted who match
My shoes were the Joy design by Naturalizer. It was important to me to find comfortable heels I could wear all day. I wanted to make sure the heel was thick enough so that I wouldn’t sink into the lawn while also looking like wedding day shoes! I loved them and wore them on the dance floor all night long!
I wore my favourite scent, YSL’s ‘Libre’. My hair and makeup artist was Natalie Danielle. I absolutely LOVED working with Natalie! I didn’t realise how much she would be calming my nerves on the morning of our wedding day! I also loved my hair and makeup!)
The Dress
I wore two dresses, my first was the Isobel dress by Alex Perry and my second dress was the Willow dress (no longer available) by Grace Loves Lace.
I went to Idina Bride in Seattle to try on my dress! I had originally found THE dress on instagram and couldn’t get that specific one out of my mind. When I got to Idina after already trying on way too many dresses, the stylist selected another dress for me that I also absolutely loved! I was torn between the two, but ultimately ended up with the Isobel since it had been my inspo all along.
From the moment I saw my wedding dress, I was obsessed with the bodice. The clean yet unique detail is what really drew me to the dress. It felt very fitting for the venue which was important to me.

I also loved changing into a second dress later in the evening! My first dress was an A-line which was definitely harder to dance in so I changed into a more fitted open back dress for late night dancing! I felt beautiful in both in different ways.
I wore a long cathedral length veil. Since my dress didn’t have a train, I wanted a veil to give the same dramatic effect when I walked down the aisle! I got my veil on Etsy in the US.
All of my bridesmaids got to pick their own dress. The brief was to choose a pink patterned dress. In the end, I loved how they all came together. My niece wore a dress from H&M.

We did a first look where we read each other our vows. After that, our parents joined us and we gave them all hand written letters to commemorate the day.
Seeing Tyler before the ceremony and reading our vows to one another were amongst my very favourite moments of the day. Everyone says the day goes by so fast, and it’s true, it does. Reading our vows privately was a slow and quiet moment I’ll never forget. After we read our vows, our parents joined us and we gave them all hand written letters. It was a really special moment! You don’t think about how much your parents are also hosting throughout the evening so it was a great moment to take a pause with them as well.
Tyler wore a custom suit from California. Our university’s mascot was a horned frog. I got Tyler horned frog cuff links to wear on our wedding day. It sounds cheesy, but they turned out very cute and we both liked how personal they were.

The Ceremony
The Niche String Quartet played during our ceremony and cocktail hour.

The song my dad and I walked down the aisle to was ‘You Make Me Feel My Love’, by Adele. My dad was just as nervous as I was walking down the aisle, but it was so special.
We hired Olivia Coleman as our celebrant and she made our ceremony so special. We absolutely loved working with her, we both felt like we had known her forever.

Our guests still talk about how incredible she was as our officiant. She was both personal and funny which was the vibe we wanted for our ceremony. I couldn’t recommend her enough.
We wrote our own vows and read them to one another during our first look! It was such a fun and personal moment and ended up being one of my favorite part of the day! During the ceremony, we recited traditional vows in front of our family and friends.

My Brother-In-Law read a beautiful reading for us. The reading was titled ‘All I Know About Love’, by Neil Gaiman. The reading reminds us that no one else can tell you what your ‘love’ is nor will it ever be like someone else’s. It’s yours and yours alone. It also reminds us that there is a lot of unknown ahead of us, but we’ll tackle it all together.
My wedding band is a half eternity band with oval diamonds on it. Originally, I thought I wanted all emerald cut diamonds, but after working with the jewellers at Padis, we decided combining the two shapes brought in some depth to the combination. Tyler chose a classic rounded gold band. He loves the classic ‘grandpa’ feel of it. He really never takes it off.

Photography
We absolutely absolutely fell in love with all of photographer Maja Tsolo’s work. Both my husband and I loved how all of her weddings were documentary style and how timeless they all felt.
When we first met with Maja for our engagement photos, she immediately made us feel relaxed in front of the camera. On the day of, we hardly knew she was there! We are so grateful for the memories she captured for us and would absolutely recommend her to anyone getting married in the UK.
I would also highly recommend working with our videographer, Natasha, of Musk Wedding Films. She and Maja worked beautifully together on the day of our wedding. We also could not be more pleased with our trailer and video. She brought out all of the emotions we felt on the day and I’m so glad we have the video to look back on!

How They Met
Tyler and I met through mutual friends in college. We were friends for a little over a year before we started dating. We dated for nearly seven years before he proposed.
I have never been more surprised than on the day we got engaged. I was on a girls trip to London with some friends. We were walking through Hyde park and all of the sudden, I see Tyler in the park, down on one knee! I didn’t think he had bought a ring yet so to say I was shocked would be an understatement. It was an amazing day.

The Reception
Our cake was supplied by Didi Cakes. The catering at Kin House already offered a three course meal so we opted for a smaller cake to cut for the ceremonial aspect of the evening, but we served it to our guests staying in the house with us the next morning at breakfast. It was a single tiered cake shaped in a heart with the words ‘Just Married’ written on it.
I wanted it to be fun and not taken too seriously and really loved how it turned out. (It also tasted amazing at breakfast too).
We gave our guests welcome party gifts for the wedding weekend! Inside each gift bag included some of our favorite English treats and snacks along with water bottles and custom drink Koozies! The Koozies had our wedding date on them and a sketched drawing of the Kin House venue. I LOVED them and am so glad we got them made.

Evening & Dancing
We took a first dance to ‘Wondering Why’, by The Red Clay Strays. Although my family is from England, I was born and raised in Texas and Tyler and I now live in California. We listen to a lot of Country music and this song just felt like ‘us’.
We got a large disco ball, a stage for the band, and additional lighting from Nomad Live. They did such a good job creating the evening dancing vibe!
We also hired a 5-piece band, Jam Session.

Words of Wedded Wisdom
Remember from day one that it won’t be perfect. Also, no one else’s wedding was ‘perfect’ either – even if Instagram and Pinterest make it look like it! No one really cares what you choose in the end, they came to celebrate you and your husband. Let the little stuff go and enjoy the process and the day.
Make a joint email at the beginning of the planning process! That way all of the wedding emails go into one place where you and your partner can always see the most recent responses! Tons of our friends did this and helped them stay organised! You can also use it as a family email after the wedding too!
I recommend doing a mini moon right after your wedding and then go on a big honeymoon a little bit later. It’s nice to have something to look forward to after the big day and allows you to really rest and relax on your honeymoon – you’ll be on such a high after the wedding, it’s nice to space it out a bit.
We loved the photo booth – it was so worth it to us. We had our photos printed full size for guests and we got all of them sent to us digitally. It was a hit with guests and we got so many great photos of our family and friends! HIGHLY recommend.
Family style food service is fun and might be executed well in the tasting, but plated meals make a much easier, smoother evening.
We exceeded our original budget after our families decided they would like to invite more guests. We had originally booked our venue intending to have roughly 75 guests, but ended up with over 100.
Also, Pinterest and Instagram became my best friend during wedding planning.
